Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes! I am in-network with CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and will verify your benefits before your appointment. I also recommend calling your insurance provider to confirm any copays, deductibles, and visit limits.

If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement. Many plans cover up to 6 lactation visits, but coverage varies.

  • During your in-home visit, we’ll talk through how pumping and/or feeding is going. We will review pregnancy and birth history, as well as your health history. We will also observe a feeding and if pumping, we can do a flange fitting. We will listen to you how you feel everything is going and address any concerns or questions you may have and create a personalized plan to help you feel confident and meet your goals.

  • You can get support wherever you are in your journey. Whether it’s before you give birth (prenatally), within days, weeks, or months after you deliver. It is never too late to ask for help. Even if everything is going well, let’s have a check in.

I can also help with concerns like pumping, bottle refusal, supply changes, weaning, and/or returning to work.

  • That’s totally okay! Many families reach out simply because something doesn’t feel right or feeding feels harder than expected. You don’t need to have everything figured out before scheduling — we’ll work through it together!

  • Yes! Virtual visits are a great option for troubleshooting feeding challenges, pumping support, prenatal visits, or follow-up care. During a secure video visit, that is HIPPA compliant, I can observe a feeding or pumping session, answer your questions, and provide guidance to help you with your goals!

Late cancellations or missed visits may be subject to a cancellation fee. However, if you or your baby are sick or there is a family emergency, feel free to email me and we can reschedule your visit.
